InsideOut Parent Cue Feb. 22-28

Unit 3: Session 4: Jesus Feeds More Than 4,000 People

    1. The story of Jesus feeding over 4000 followers, found in Matthew 15:32-39, reminds us of the ministries of Chaouki and Maha Boulos in Lebanon. Like Jesus teaching a large crowd, the Celebrate Jesus rallies reach thousands of people with the message of Christ. The Bible story takes place in the mountains near the Sea of Galilee. The White Wings Retreat Center in Lebanon, where children’s camps are held, is set in the mountains, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

Family Discussion:

Read Matthew 15:32-39 as a family.  Talk about how Jesus cared for the people.  Their hunger needs were important.  How can we minister to those in need around us?

Prayer:

Jesus cared about the people He was teaching.  He knew they would be hungry.  He needed to meet the needs of their hunger before He could preach the good news to them.  We can still help others who are hungry today by feeding them and sharing the love of God.  Pray:  God, we pray for those who do not have enough to eat in Lebanon. Thank you for Chaouki and Maha Boulos and their friends who share food with many people.  Help us to see those around us that we can help.  Help us to love others.  Amen.
