InsideOut Parent Cue Oct. 19-25

Being a missionary in a foreign country can be difficult, especially when you have to speak a different language, eat different foods, or learn new traditions.  Last night we talked about some of the new traditions the Brewers have learned in their country, like how they celebrated Christmas this past year.  Christmas is a celebration of Jesus Christ being born and living here on Earth.  Although people in America celebrate in similar ways, there are some very different traditions around the world.  We learned how countries like Australia, China, Ethiopia, and Holland celebrate this special holiday too.

Take the time to talk about these questions:

1.What kind of traditions do you and your family have for Christmas and why?

2. How would you feel if you were in a foreign place and couldn't celebrate your family's traditions?

3. The great news is that you don’t have to go to the other side of the world to be a missionary for God.  Everyone is on mission no matter where they are.  What are some ways that you can be a missionary for God right where you are?
