Easter is an amazing time when we celebrate our savior's victory over death! Not only did Jesus die on the cross for our sins, but God raised him from the dead. We can now have forgiveness for the things we do wrong, and have a relationship with the Father! This is a very exciting time for us as believers!
John 3:16-18 (The Message)
16-18 This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn't go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person's failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.

InsideOut
In InsideOut this week, we learned more about the passover supper; what it was, and why the Jews celebrated it. We discovered more about the last supper that Jesus shared with his disciples before He was crucified. To reinforce the principles learned, we had a treasure hunt around the church. Only a correct answer to the question from our night's lesson could lead you forward.

Sunday School
We started Sunday School off with breakfast and a fun craft that reminded us that Jesus has indeed risen from the grave. After that we got to hear from followers of Jesus about what really happened to Him those final days of his life. Pontus Pilate told us about him be sentenced to death and what it was like when they crucified him. Peter told us how he denied Christ and how we have the same choice in our lives to follow Him. He and Mary Magdalen also told us what it was like to go to the tomb and find it empty. They invited us in to the tomb where Jesus appeared! He shared with us about how he has really risen from the dead and we can make a decision ourselves to believe in Him! He even let us feel his very own scars from the nails that hung him on the cross, just like doubting Thomas got to feel.

Romans 10:8-10 (New International Version)
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
